I have just received the profile of this school.
It showed that they had 192 P.6 graduates and 81.3% of them were admitted to EMI schools. i.e. 156 students were sent to EMI schools. However, only 67 students were admitted to Band 1 schools. I don't know why there is a big difference between there two figures.

Besides, there are only 11 classes of Chinese Language taught by Mandrain. Most of them are concentrated on P2 &3 (except 2A&3A). But all the Chinese Language classes in P1 are only taught by Cantonese. Does it mean that not all students have the same opportunities to Chinese lang. by Mandarin?

As stated in the profile, the EMI PLK DSS schools were not classified as band 1 school.

Previously, only one class in each form will have Chinese subject taught by Putunghua. But now, start from this year, the school decided to have more classes to have Chinese subject taught by Putunghua. However, P4 or above will not be changed.

Muicc,

All Chinese student learn Chinese subjects (daily) and French (weekly) while the non-Chinese student learn French (daily) and Chinese Putonghua (weekly).

No French exam for Chinese Student.

Starting from this year, Chinese student can choose either Basic French / Basic Japanese.

Being a parent of TSL student for almost a month, here are what I can share:

Everyday just 2-4 homeworks which include corrections. Weekend have to read story books.

We just let our daughter writes whatever she likes for journal as teachers already gave them a guideline of topic. Personnally, I think it is a good way to enhance student's creativity by using what they learned from school. As stated in the circular, the intention is to encourage kids to write. So, don't expect them to write with good grammar. My daughter enjoys showing me her works, especially the drawings. If I spot something doesn't make sense, I would ask her but not from grammetical approach. Properly after couple months, she gets used to and enjoys writing, I would correct her grammar mistakes piece by piece.

I really like 童言 as it is a good way to train up kids' relationship concept.  

Swimming is part of PE lesson.

Headmistress cares students very much and is helpful

Teachers are helpful too as they usually return call on the same day.

Participated the music instructment concert for p1 to p3, observed the following:
1. Good students involvement as students were so willing and eager to answer questions.
2. Poor control on the overall atmosphere.

Furthermore, school bus arrangment did upset me a bit.

有關INTERNVIEW, 我認為校長喜歡 小朋友主動 并可自己帶出話題, "用不同語言對答及說話" 是BONUS. 注重課外活動成績,最好有些特長.
