my son is now K1, and has been learning Kumom Maths for 12 months and now he is doing level 2A. at first the teachers wanted him to grow fast, sometimes the lesson over-run just for my son, as the teachers gave extra exercise to him,but i didn't want to put too much pressure on my son, i asked the teachers to reduce the number of pages of his homework and told the teachers we would like to slow down the pace, in order not to lose his interest, so up till now he is so fond of going to kumon class, and requested to do the English Kumon, which is also in level 2A as well. i think the 'Teacher' is the most important point to influence the kids' interest and learning intention. That's why i did not choose Enopi at the beginning, i agree with one of the mother said the teachers' English standard and teaching method of enopi are rather below standard, as i know, most of the teachers are only with less than 2 years experience and they are less professional compared with my son's kumon teachers.
so finally i took the kumon after attending the two seminars from each of them, and what i chose is the teachers first, as they will affect my son's learning attutides and habit. |
