做大B或細B?

仔仔是2011年12月尾出生, 非常細, 但一直以來發展都頗快. 現在PN班可選不多, 應做大仔還是細仔入PN? 到小一面試時, 大/細仔表現真是這麼懸殊?

男仔的發展真係慢過女仔，我小朋友的同學中有12月超大女，有12月細仔，確係兩個世界。

到小一，大細B的差距會收細，但要到小四左右才完全消息。

如果你一心比佢repeat，就遲一年入學較好，好過讀pn、K1，然後repeat K1。因為Pn和K1教的東西好類似，讀3年真係悶。

My son is 0912, i faced the same situation as you do.  We finally decided to let him attend PN class as a big boy as from Sept 2012.
When we applied for K1 for him last year as a small boy, all are on waiting list.
This year, I applied for K1 for him again, and he got 5 offers so far ... so I would suggest you to consider letting him to attend PN as Big Boy.  Before then, you can let him attend playgroups.

學校都傾向收大B，去年我個仔(0910)考K1，表現都幾好，offer一般。呢兩年出生率高，競爭更大。

何必要仔仔都大自己一年的小朋友競爭? 做大仔喇!

我以前無特別留意，後來係EK見多左，開始留心。發覺細女同大女仲有得爭吓，細仔同大女，真係好難有得抖。

Many thanks.  I intended to let him be a big b but hubby thinks it's too competitive for him to wait a year and compete with dragons.  I think it depends whether we will be lucky enough to get a good PN offer early, and if not, no alternative but to compete with the dragons.

Honestly, if the difference between small and big Bs will narrow at the primary age, then it's no harm to be a bit behind in kindergartens and avoid the keen competition on primary seats during the dragon year??

It depends what K you want to join.  If the K you want accepts your kid as a small b, then no problem...

In my case, no good PN accepted my son as small b and also knowing that good Ks seldom accept small b, so I let my son to join PN as a big b.

It really depends on what you want.  To study as small b can save a year ... and avoid competing with dragons.  But if you study as a big b, you have advantage over the dragons, becos ur kid is older than them.

To learn as a big b, they pick up faster, more confident and be able to do what teachers instruct.  

Some 0912 kids I know, their parents choose to repeat K1 or will repeat K3.

When I was small my mum choose to let me as a big B but turn out that I don't have much advantage when apply those famous P1...all is on waiting list... even though finally I managed to get in to one of them and was studied there till high school graduated, but my result are only average all over the years and honestly many of my classmates, who younger than me has better result than me.

In addition, I have 2 friends, 1 has Dec boy and 1 has Dec girl, the boy now in P5, studying in a famous govt school, he is always the top of the class. The girl, who now in F3, is studying in one of those famous girl school without any problem in her academic.

What I want to say is, the difference between big small b are obvious during early stage only, so my comment is if u target a dargon KG and they only accept big b, then go ahead to become a big b. Otherwise, you need to think whether your favourite KG only accept big b or not, but also bear in mind there is no guarantee that you can get in to those famous Primary still, 到時唔好後悔覺得自己放棄咗一年時間都考唔到好既私小，咁就ok. 如果你一心諗住target 津小或官校，咁不如small b算喇！

Also 2 points you may need to know... 1st is actually the birth rate in rabbit and dragon are more or less the same (according to the figures released by govt earlier) becoz this year onwards the 內地孕婦 are not allowed to deliver in govt hospital anymore, so u don't need to afraid to compete with the dragons. 2nd is please aware that some famous KG they won't accept 超大B either. 你係12月B既話應該都冇問題，但如果係9月10月B，好多都唔accept佢哋as超大B。

請教一下，如果一心俾bb做大b，到申請k1既時候，學校會唔會只收當年（1／1-31／12）而唔收上年既bb呢？當時咪兩頭唔到岸？

我都好想知, 如果10月b係咪做唔到超大b??有那些學校唔收超大b??會否兩頭唔到岸呢??

如果係九月十月B，咁就真係要逐間check。間間收生標準都唔同。 例如KV，今年招收K1係由1Oct2009 - 31Oct2010, 即9月B唔可以做超大B，又例如培正，今年招收K1係由1Nov2009 - 31Oct2010, 即9月10月B都唔可以做超大B，但係如果想讀SC, 佢哋K1係由1Sep2009 - 30Sep2010, 即係如果你係10月B就只可以選擇做超大B。

間間收生準則都唔同，建議先check 咗心儀KG既收生準則再決定做大B或細B啦。

好多人以為做大B一定容易d入名幼，但忽略咗人地既收生準則，到時先發覺就唔抵啦。

入小一前（1／9）未足七歲都有適齡兒童的5分。即九月一日出世的超大仔都是適齡。

謝謝你詳細回答, 我都知間間收生唔一樣, 但咁係咪年年一樣, 如sc佢哋K1係由1Sep2009 - 30Sep2010, 咁會唔會到第二年, 收生月份又跳架??
