如囝囝本人學習比較慢, 預計成績不太好, 學校會否給予很大壓力. 有無過來人可以分享下.

According to School's information, there is no 'elite system' in the School and the academic level of the pupils in each class is almost the same. To my knowledge, at lower grades, the position of students in class, except top 3(?), will not be disclosed.

I think SSCPS, in general, is not very competitive although the English standard is quite high when compared with other ordinary schools.

(However, if special support is needed, government schools would always have more resources than private institutes.)

Any other parents can share their views?

Your information is right for Primary school.
In fact, in my son's years, boys and girls changed classes yearly or 2 yearly.
But in St. Stephen's College, i.e., secondary school, there are 2 elite classes, 1 ordinary class and 2 classes with special support.  There was test in the summer before F.1 to 分班.  After F.1, the exam result would do the same purpose.  Students have to change class according to their exam result.
That's way I said 小學生上到中學要適應和追. (From no pressure to high pressure!)

What you had said is quite true. Currently, the secondary section of SSC is a subsidized school. Its admission policy, curriculum design, language policy, class size, etc are much restricted by Education Department (in terms of general regulations and resources provided).

Hence, if SSC switches to direct subsidized school in 2008, I hope it would have more resources and freedom to proliferate the qualities of its feeder, i.e. SSCPS, like language envirnoment, class size, etc...

I'm serarching & looking for the Primary schoo for my son whose acacdemic year 2008 - 09 (P1).  Can anybody share their expereince in SSCPS for me ??  It is very tough for their admission.  Look forward to having any valuable advice.
