I am thinking that how sad I will be if the result comes out is reject. It will be a very sad Christmas.

Don't be frustrated. We all know that the chance of being accepted is very very slim. We should not let the result affect our mood for the joyful Christmas. Remember: disappointment comes from expecting too much.

Dear chanlui,
Totally agree with you! I didn't feel a tiny bit of sadness three years ago when my daughter failed to get a place since I understood that the chance was extremely slim!

from Dec 22 onwards throught the whole x'mas holiday, everyday is filled up with various kind of programmes in order to let me away from sadness....

Come on, failing DGJS may make me feel disappointed for 5 seconds but it would be a big relief. Ultimately, not everyone could cope with the pressure of studying in such a famous school. Think about this, if you succeed DGJS, you may have to start your planning for 'suviving' in it by doing all sorts of research, pushing your kid to study better, getting her involved in more tutor classes, worrying for comparison with other parents .... But of course, I still hope you every success in being accepted by DGJS.
