I am homeschooling my 3.5 years old in Shanghai. He is attending a full-day local nursery but the English level in local school is too easy.  We're spending about an hour on language arts (English), I have enough material for now but considering to order a package from Sonlight.  

If yours is 2 years old. You may consider www.abchomepreschool.com, she has a download version which is US$35+.

Sonlight is a complete prgram, including daily lesson plan, schedule, books and material (crayons).  If you are just want to teach your kid at home for fun and you already have other learning material (books, coloring books etc.) you can consider ABC preschool.

In other countries, some parnets don't send their children to school and teach them at home = homeschooling.  It's not legal in HK - I guess.

I have done homeschooling with my 2 girls. I used the Learn at Home series which provides lesson plans, teaching suggestions and activity sheets. From K2/K3 onwards, I started following the Well Trained Mind by Susan Wise Bauer. From my experience, especially during SARS, my children were not always interested in the topic I picked for them so I had to be flexible with my teaching. Hence I use these books as a basis for my planning only. I like to teach based on themes and I find www.learningpage.com very useful with many age-appropriate worksheets.

For children as young as 2 years old, I would also use Montessori Play & Learn book. Some mothers on another board also suggested www.fiveinarow.com.
