Chinese International school is like the top tier international school in Hong Kong, very difficult to get in. The have very good university placement. Normally for SIS, students will leave after primary school and join other international schools in hk.

SIS 的學生如果轉讀其他學校，一般是去海外讀書。

CIS是非常好的學校。我的小朋友當年無考CIS，主要因為無IGCSE。我相信每個人選校時都有自己的考慮因素，很難一概而論。

Thanks Jmachi. I am new to IS and also hear that CIS is top tier. What makes it "top tier"? I only know it has a longer history

1. Better university placement
2. Longer history
3. More well balance with academic, sports and other activities
4. Better campus and facilities

Downside:-
Expensive school fee and a lot of super rich  family. SIS more down to earth.

Thanks Jmachi. I would like my child to be more grounded so CIS might not be our cup of tea.
But I am interested to know why graduating cohort of SIS is so small. There are just 30+ students I hear. Does anyone know?

It’s kind of a vibe thing and is expected when people seeing former bright students and friends around are leaving, they tend to think about leaving too. Hence it’s hard to build up a strong track record and this will affect latter students’ confidence to stay behind and a cycle is formed which is not easy to break.
Another drawback is if too few students are left, the choices of IB subjects might be limited.
