My son nearly six year old. Learnt piano for more than two years already. Plan to take the 3rd grade piano exam. by the end of 09. I want to let him start learning another muscial instrument in the second term of his K3 as this will be more affordable in term of time.
How/ Where can I assess which type of instrument is more suitable for him. Any suitable coarse or private teach recommand?

At this early age, I'd say String instruments (Violin/viola/cello, harp), percussion (drum), or some chinese instruments would be good and interesting in addition to piano. Woodwind (flute, clarinet, oboe, piccolo, etc.) and Brass might be tough to a child's body because those instruments are heavy and might require a big lung as well as strong muscles.
