請教：想女兒將來讀國際學校 (kindergarten, primary @HK & secondary, uni @ UK)

但我和先生二人都只接受過本地傳統教育至大學程度, 家庭教育都是傳統式的.

想請教各位家長: 小朋友將來讀國際學校家長於學業或管教上有困難嗎 ﹣例如：家長不熟悉國際學校的學習文化 or 當小朋友在國際學校成長遇到的問題, etc...

我其實不太了解國際學校的文化, 才產生疑慮吧... 希望各位可以給予意見/ 分享

If you are not familiar with IS, then why do you want to put your kids in IS from Kinder to secondary?  What is your expectation?  These are basics for finding any school matching your needs.

Suggest you go to website of different IS to understand more first.  Different IS have different cirriculum, culture, different student mix etc.  Not easy to generalise all.

i got uk citizenship and i plan for my daughter to study in uk for secondary & uni. that's why we want to put her in international school since kinder...

any suggestion for the IS that match the uk cirriculum?

i would like to know some down to earth problems that IS parents encounter (if any)

There are many IS using UK system, such as ESF, GSIS ... you can search from internet easily the list of IS and detail curriculum.

Problems encountered??  It really depends whether the parents accept the way of teaching and the culture (mostly more western and internationalised, I believe), and if you can partner with the school to develop your kids together.  Some parents who are totally "care free" may have problems and some local Chinese always worry about Chinese standard etc.

To me, the only problem I feel that my kid in secondary IS has become too "independent" now and don't need any more help from us!
