Dear Glossimar and other parents,
What are your ideas and further observations?
Do you think kids from "better" family background
perform better academically and others? If so, shall we locate/re ...
It seems to be the case. I heard from a kindergarten teacher from an international school saying that BS is the best. However, I don't believe it. (But uniform wise, it is the best!) It all depends on the principal and teachers. Besides, they measure a child's progress based on his own improvement, not others. If you do want to follow through, be aware that the competition is very keen. I met quite a few Caucasians' parents that their children did not even get a chance for the interviews. (When they found out my child got in, they were really really mad.) In terms of precentage, over 70% in my child's class can be classified as Caucasians. This percentage is very high in Hong Kong. So, the strategy would be first to enter an easier one like Kennedy, a bigger school, then request for an internal transfer. There are always vacancies available when school starts because of the nature of the parents' jobs.
They will move the ESFK Sheng Wan to the Bradbury campus next year. It will like the sister school of BS. So it may be better for those kids since the principal has the first hand knowledge of the kids there.
Hope the information helps! Good luck and best of hope! |
