我覺得讀IS嘅小朋友應該唔駛上phonics班，亦未聽過，只係聽過要補普通話！

可能亜ＶＡＮＫＡＳＡ想ＳＥＬＬ下。　　不過説老師是ＮＯＮ－ＣＨＩＮＥＳＥ、但又不代表是ＮＡＴＩＶＥ　ＳＰＥＡＫＥＲ噃！！　要学就一定要同ＮＡＴＩＶＥ　ＳＰＥＡＫＥＲ学、我同意samelsaho的説法、意思不用到外面補、在学校就ＯＫ了。

My kid studied phonics in Shatin Mac XX for 3 months. I don't know anything about his progress at all. No feedback from teachers nor from the centre. Every time when I called the centre, they would say the person in charge was not available. When I leave my phone number, the woman in charge will defer calling me after 1 week!! It was totally unacceptable and what she said was just beat about the bush and nothing solid. Most importantly, I did not see any improvement of my kid at all. So I quit the class already.

I share the same experience with you regarding this learning centre.  I let my child join their phonics class during the summer holidays when he was in year 1.  Can't see any significant improvement on his spelling.  Actually he wasn't bad at reading at the time.  I let him join their phonics course just to kill time during the summer break and see if it helps with his spelling.  There was absolutely no communciation between parent and teacher.  The woman in charge was the only person that I could talk to whose words didn't help me understand my child's progress at all.  We quitted after 4 months.  

Honestly, I don't think extra phonics lessons are required for most IS students.
