But my kid is only 17-month-old and those required to be at least 2-year-old.  I found english playgroups with only 1 hour per week is not enough. Any good nursery to start with for preparation to IS kinder? Thanks.

When my son was that young, we went to playgroups that taught in english, rather than learning english.  We speak english at home, so that's the way he learnt.  

At 17 months we only did Tutortime playgroup 2 days per week and The Little Gym.

There is playgroups at Abacus during the summer for children 1-3 years, but I think they have already started.  I tried to PM you the info but I think there's something wrong with the system.  You can call 2719 5712 and ask Joesphine if there's still spaces available.  The bad part is that Abacus doesn't have public transport reaching there... and mind you Abacus is only running playgroups to get extra money to improve the campus.  It doesn't increase your change of going to an ESF kindy.

and if you are looking for things for your child to do during summer.  Yew Chung does have English Toddler Playgroups for 5 days a week during August.
