考AP 定 IB 好

我都知兩個試無話邊個好過邊個，主要都係睇返個別學生既特質而言。

但暫時撇除邊個試適合邊類學生先，我想知考AP 定IB 對入大學既優勢大啲。聽講美國大學睇AP多，其他國家就IB認受性高啲。

請問知唔知喺邊會有多啲呢方面既資料可以考參吓。謝~

一心去美國就AP，但香港提供AP的學校比IB少

即係如果唔諗住去美國就最好唔好揀AP?
其實我覺得AP會適合我女性格多啲，但我地又唔會考慮去美國升學>.<

AP一樣可申請香港及其他國家大學，如你覺得AP適合就選啦

我想知考AP 定IB 對入大學既優勢大啲。

It is true that many universities really like IB students, but the reason is just that IB is a lot harder to deal with. Students have lots of non-academic commitments, there is the challenging TOK, students need to be very proactive and have lots of initiatives, etc. So the seemingly 優勢 would mean putting in a lot more effort and time.
AP on the other hand is subject based. You can sit for as many or as few AP exams as you like.
Note that universities look at 4 years of high school grades. So after all internal grades is very important as well.

Not ture. As long as your grades are good, you will be welcome by any universities in any countries.


If after doing your own research, you believe your child would suite AP more, then choose AP.

多謝解釋。雖然AP無話一定要讀幾多科，但一般黎講，有無話AP 學生通常會考幾多科既呢。大學收生時又會唔會話睇至少幾多科既成績呢?謝~

There is no special requirements as to how many AP exams students sit. The american system is very flexible. American schools would allow students to take AP classes (prep for AP exams) early as long as they are ready. Some students start to take AP exams in Grade 10. So many students are able to have many AP by the time they graduate. Check the universities website to see the official requirements. Each university is different. If you really like AP, then why not get into get a school that teaches american curriculum. Or, may be as a start, make a school visit to get to know more.

PS I have heard that the number of AP exams students take can vary from 3 to over 10.
