BMW vs Honda

Some like Honda because they are affordable, user-freindly and realtively low mantainance costs.  Indeed, Japanese technology for making car is not too bad.  If you need a car, which can simply bring you and your family from point A to point B.  Honda won't be a bad choice.  Don't be shame! OK?

However, if your requirement is HIGHER.  Say you need rock solid and high performance machine which brings you superb performance and excellent road feel, BMW is a much better choice.

But howcome the percentage of BMW owners is much lower than Honda owners in HK if BMW is that good???

1. Not everybody can afford BMW.  
2. They don't know how to appreicate European machines.  
3. They are not capable to handle it.  
4. They have lower expectation on car.  Like I say.  Just deliver some stuffs from point A to point B.

Driving a Honda Civic is nothing wrong indeed.  However, once you have a chance to drive a BMW, you will know the difference and you will never go back to your Civic.

有D人知道自己想要咩，但有D人都係想買個「名」啫，可能辛辛苦苦都係買得BMW最cheap個model, 而咁價錢買Honda可以買架money for value的都唔定。

我亦見有人揸開BMW轉Honda，只係怕等parts 維修。

You are 100% correct.  The situation you mentioned happens all the time, and you know cars well too.  Great!   So............
Some like to wait for parts.
Some like to put their kids on waiting lists.  
Some like to put their kids in a lucky draw.
Some just like to deliver their kids from point A to point B.

If Civic is not bad and already gives great pleasure to the whole family, why bother to try BMW?  At least, they don't need to "knock door" every year.

Indeed both have their advantages and disvantages.

It is not a mistake to point them out. You know?? But some Honda fans don't like to hear that Honda's paint job is no good, and BMW fans don't like to hear that BMW's price is too high.

That is the problem here.  There are two groups in BK.  Some like Honda and some like BMW.  They always agrue which brand is better.  You can see that.  

Indeed, different people have different requirements.

What I have been doing is I just express my feeling here.  

I am not making friends here and I am not begging for a copy cat portfolio or letter neither.  So, I don't need to please people or try  to be nice here.

Everyone is free to choose whether he would like to join the discussion. I would think it is no harm for discussion purpose. This may lead to some insight though we may not necessarily agree with each other and as long as not making it personal.

Using the same language, let me try this: some may think that although 318i is a bit common and doesn't have style, it's still a BMW and esp becos you had experience of driving BMW, you don't want to risk getting a Honda (e.g. becos switching cost is high).  New Accord looks pretty cool but you still want to play safe and choose a BMW... ha ha ha...
