To my understanding, St Clare is a highly disciplined school. For example, if your kid write an chinese character in very a bit different from the formal type, they will request you to write the whole word again and again.
To me, I would not say it is not a good way to train up the kids, but more important is make them know what's wrong. Besides, I think this will discourage the kid in learning.
This is my own view only.
