They go outdoor everyday, but i am not sure whether there is structured activity or just let the kids play around.
My girl is quite reluctant to speak English or PTH in front of me, so i myself don't know how well she speaks. But according to her class teachers, she understands and speaks English well. For PTH, she understands well but speaking is still developing. But i think, school can just does a small part in training languages, parents input seems to be more important. You can't rely on school to make your kid speak fluent English and PTH.
About independence and confidence, teachers do encourage them to speak out. They have quite frequent show and tell sections, and students can perform on stage during birthday party. Kids are encouraged to take care of themselves. But i think this largely depends on the kid's own characters. My girl is a super shy girl (but independent), i tried different methods, but she is still a shy girl.
I cannot compare LH and CPSKG directly because my girl and my younger son are in different grades. I think both are good schools and my kids like going to school a lot. Teachers in both schools are good and caring.
I chose CPSKG for my girl because of the good comments from my friend who was a CPSKG parent. And because my girl is a "small" and super shy girl, i think primary school allocation will be a tough war for her (and me!), if she studies at CPSKG, i will have CPS (which i think it's a very good backup) in hand, then we can go through that process less tensely. |
