我記得應該係收4班，以每班32-34人，約130多人。

I am also P1's parent of LHT.   I just gave you some idea on your questions :

1.  LHT多不多功課
I think it is reasonable.  It is 3 to 4.  My son needs to spend 1 to 1.5 hour maximun to do it.  When my son does his homework, he is always jump here, jump there, not concentrated on his home work.  There are not much penmanship (1 page for Chinese)/copy books (2 pages for English).   
The work load is for sure less than those from the Government aided school.

2.   默書
No dictation for P1.  I am not sure P2 or others.  
Even EC have dictation.


其實我就不大介意新舊問題,只想只道LHT多不多功課和默書？會不會好谷學生？小朋友愛上學嗎？因我是全職媽咪,驚跟唔到佢的功課。

It depends on you.  I believed "lay hard, Studies hard".     If your daughter/son can spend 30 minutes every day to review the materials, I do not think it is a problem for them.   It is more important to help the student to develop reading/studing habbit at school.    This is what I believed and what the school is trying to do.  The school have 18 years experience.  They know how to teach their students for their own goodness.

If you say that the students are played hard at school but do nothing at home (no homework, no reading/review at home, I do not believe that they learn much and do good in the public examination in the future.)  Even for the international schools with no homework, only the top students get good results as they read a lot of books at home.

Last year both EC, LHT and others DSS accepted my son,  I selected LHT.

May I have more idea about  LHT Chinese Lesson,Is all the 普通話，It hard for the child or you think easy to keep on.

You better than me. I have job to do .I need teach my son everynight.My son use about 2 hours to do homework.You don't worry the child, my son and his classmates are so happy to go to school.Their homework is some exercise paper, it is not boring.They have a quiz on everyweek.No dictation.You are housewife is good for spend a time to hlep your son go to library.Because every student at least read 50-100 books for a year.             :  :-x      :evil:    :cry:  :cry:  :evil:

Don't worry in Chinese lesson.The teacher has good form to teach them.After one year study, my son can speak potunwa. I 'm so surprise.

For my son, speaking of PTH is not a problem as he plays with friends from Beijing every week.   However, he needs to spend more time on learning the Mandarin phonics as the teacher starts teaching it in the class.

Till now, I am still keeping my son reading at least 1 story book per day.

Do you think the standard is higher than formal P1. All subjects are teach in Eng except chinese? And also have science subject in P1, right?

I also want to know. As for the P1 topic. They seems the student are busy. But they said there is no dictation in P1.
