k1 interview should be attended by both father and mother?

I have the same question in my mind.  I wonder if Kentville and St. Catherine would allow both father and mother to go inside for the interview.  Since one of the scheduled interviews are on week day, my husband may not want to take leave for the interview if he can just wait outside.
