我冇選擇開車接送，因為時間未必安排到。港島有媬姆車，我家附近有兩個DBSPD學生，他們都是坐早上坐媬姆車，放學坐地鐵，因為他們是高小了。

我在升中及高中活躍些，間中看看拔小，吵吵鬧鬧，我多數靠邊站，理性討論，我會分享一些看法或經驗。

提醒大家，在EK名校家長要預咗俾其他家長插，原因不用細表。

看到妳們的素質，應該應付自如，我的EQ會比妳們差少少。

我仔讀緊12班 lB，又報香港三大的Fast Track，又報海外大學，揸住 offer先慢慢簡。

如果牛劍或長春藤，飛身撲出去，其他在香港讀又得，豐儉由人，都是Happy problem.

我唔認為是精英班，肯定我阿仔當時不是，但要留意洗牌效應，傳統學制醒，不等於在lB醒，因為skill set是不一樣。lB亦不是適合每一個學生！

我意思是，不是每個都是尖子，而非所有不是尖子。
我同時強調大家所指的尖子是中四前的情況，中四後，有洗牌效益。希望不會引起混淆。

想請教一下, 何為"洗牌效益"?為何會在中四時開始出現呢?

洗牌效應大約分為兩部份，NSS及lB：
NSS因為選科及興趣，可以唔選一些沒有興趣或佔用太多時間的科目，學習效益會提高，所以名次會有明顯變化。

lB則因為學習及教學模式不同，學生的mindset and skill set 都不同，如果腦筋較靈活，語文能力及分析力強，時間管理好的學生會佔優，成績會較有優勢。

跟初中老師亦傾談過，他們知道由拔小或其他幾間英小上來的學生會佔優，因為英文的水平分野。到中二中三，部份其他外校生會跑上來，因為適應了學校程度，考試模式及語文能力加強了。

希望解釋得清楚吧！

Its new to me too....
I am not sure, all my friends' boys are entered after 2nd interview only. 3rd interviews only heard from other DSS and private schools.

可能年代不同，競爭程度都不同，近年已有三百多尖子投考劍橋大學，每年平均50+被取錄，成功率約15%。我估計當年的成功率會高一些。
軟實力- 不同人有不同理解，能否演繹清楚一點。先謝！

For "軟實力＂, I guess the influence for Universities may be much lower than primary school admission.

For Ivy League and Oxbridge, I also consider the subject league table as well and up to Graduate schools.

可惜明年的家長又重複DBS如何收生不公平，世襲，特異功能.........嘈交表點混亂..........又唔講家長錯漏百出........ 到面試又嘈屎尿，校工........
我唯一安慰是有得見second interview的家長都有不錯水平，平常心得嚟又有同理心。抵讃！
