I called the school yesterday, they said some would received call for interview yesterday and today. But so far no call!

Hi Chima,

I also rang the school this morning at around 11 am and was told to wait for the call until next Mon. It means that if we can't receive the call by next Mon, then we won't have the chance ... I hope your child and mine can get the chance for the second interview!

My friend, who is closed to the school, said that they are yet to finalize the scores as there are many applicants. They will call for interviews within this week.

Actually i wonder how could they started calling as early as last Thurs!

So, for those yet to receive calls, you still have hope!

Congratulations! But there's just a one-day notice for the second interview... A bit rush!

Actually I rang CKY about the interview notice for the coming intake of P2 this afternoon and got a reply from CKY that the school hasn't got the result yet. The staff said there would be a few rounds even for the interview. I guess it's gonna take a long time to complete the admission process with perhaps even the third interview...Anyway, I'm looking forward to the interview notice.

The staff returned call to my friend at 6pm yesterday saying that they did not start the calling. However, they will start calling from today. Good luck!

I don't know there would be few rounds for the interview. Actually I just know CKY will have a call for the 2nd interview on 7/27 that they advised on insert assessment on 6/27, so I was so surprise to receive their call y'day for the 2nd interview.

Hi Liu,

My son & I have separate interview by CKY, one of teacher is talking with me, she asked me why are you choosing our shcool for your child ? My son and other 2 children have another interview with teacher supervisor 1st then both of principal have talked with them, I think they have interview at least 20 mins. Final result will be on around 7/27...

I received the call for interview in the late afternoon today. My girl is applying for P2.
I think the school will call batch by batch, like what they did for P1 admission. They will call you a day before only. So there still be chance. Wish you good luck!

Hi Minggrace,

Congratulation! My girl had the interview on 7 July. They were two in a group. First chatted with a NET, then interviewed by both principals, Mr. Ip and Dr. Lau. Mr. Ip, as you may realize, only speaks English. Dr. Lau would ask in both English and Mandarin. They mainly asked about their current school life and their expectation in CKY. No question that is particularly difficult or need special preparation. No picture description, no story telling. So, take it easy!

thanks for other's sharings.
we went for interview this morning.
maybe because my girl is applying for P.2, the questions she were asked were pretty much simple.
like, what books do you like most? what do you learn at school? it tooks only 15 mins for two.
there will be another rounds for overseas applicants.
so the result will be released by the end of next week or early of week after.. by phone.

Hi Lui,

My child is also applying for P.2. After the second interview, I also learned from the staff (who checked the birth certificate) that the result would be released in a week. Moreover, the staff said that there were 50 to 60 applicants and around a dozen had been selected for the second interview. Then, I think your girl and my child have a chance of being admitted..hopefully. Good luck to your girl and my son anyway!

Amazingly, as I noticed, I can’t see any girl in our batch.
My girl is the only girl I have seen out of 6 -7 applicants in my batch.

Had called the school bus company to reserve the seat as well.

try to call ms yeung 94203977. she is helpful.
i lived in kowloon station where my bus is very full.
she said we have 30 ppls and have to take turn to seat on the additional seat 輔助位. i said as long as i can take the bus, i don;t mind. i couldnt sort out how to get there without school bus.

Hi all,

May I ask if Ms Yeung is responsible for all the school bus routes? Or is she just for certain routes? I live in Ma On Shan. Should I call her to reserve a seat? Will the bus for Ma On Shan be also so full asking students to take the additional seat? Does anyone know if the school bus company will still accept application for the Ma On Shan route?
Be frank, if there's no school bus, I really have to re-consider whether to take the offer or not as it really costs a lot to get to the new campus on the hill.

Ms Yeung is referred by Mr Kung (the contact you pass me).
Please feel free to call her and you may know your situation earlier.
I think even the bus is full, you can still catch up school bus with the other route.
No need to go up to the hill right the way from your home.
Say Ma on shan to Tai Wai.
It would be pity to have given up the seat (of course transportation is really a concern).

The additional seat is the seat extended between two columns of seat. Usually it is the corridor.
I am fine with it as they will have fastened the seat belt.

If the number of students over 28, they will arrange two buses for us and the number of stops will not increased anymore. Am.........i hope it's true.

I've already reserved a place for the MOS school bus through Ms Yeung and she said I got the very last seat reserved. If the one you mentioned (Mr. Kong's) is better, how can I contact him to reserve a place. Please advice.

By the way, I don't know the time schedule for the school bus or the price. Have you got the time (estimated though) for Mr. Kong's school bus?

I had reserved school bus from Ms Yeung but she said the bus is full, so it will be an additional seat for my son. I have no choice to cfm with her. Moreover, she did not cfm the time schedule until CKY advise whether the school time will be on 8:00am or 8:25am. Need time to buy school uniform and school shoe (white color) until receive cfmd letter from school this week.

Received the registration pack yesterday,
Since we missed the classical night, I went to youtube and search for the musical performance of each kind of instrument and let my girl to listen to it and choose the type she loves best. We used to go to attend the orchestra concert, but very hard to identify the sound of each kind of instrument.
She finally chooses handchimes.
Re the book list, it is pretty much cheap than I expect and I hardly find other charges from school other than the school fee 5000+ instrument lesson charge 3960.

Hi Lui,

What kind of instrument will your child choose?

I'll go for the registration this afternoon. But I'm still thinking about which instrument to choose for my son. Honestly my son hasn't learnt to play the violin before. I just know it's very difficult to play the violin. I wonder if it's a bit late for him to start doing the violin. Will he far lag behind other violin players as he will just start from P2? Maybe 'handchime' is also a good choice as my son doesn't love working with big instrument...

Anyway, I'm a bit excited as he's going to have a totally different school life at CKY. I hope CKY is the right choice for my son with few homework and 2 assessments only. I definitely hope that his English class teacher's accent is good and clear as I did read a lot of complaints here at Baby Kingdom about the accent of an English teacher. Good luck to my son!

I will follow what my girl has chosen, which is handchimes.
It is simply she likes the sound of that instrument. Her interest comes first.
So maybe you can go to youtube to search for the performance of each kind of instrument and let him choose.
The school said you can put the particular instrument you like besides the preference number.
Say you like string, put 1 and blanket violin if you like it.
