Yes, I also appreicate the 50% sponsorship. I've tried to persuade my son to join it but he doesn't like to go.  He likes going to Beijing where he has lots of friends.  He went to Beijing already for few summer holidays.

IB - this school is running traditional syllabus, so no IB offered.  IB is project-learning oriented.  The school fee normally will be higher if running IB.

It will be great to share with parent who are interested in it, only if you don't find it boring ! ^.^

My son went to Beijing for summer holidays together with my parents in-law who came from Beijing.  So he lives in a local community, where there are many kids with similar age.  My son feels it at home when he goes to Beijing, where he doesn't need to take care of English, no daily school work (of course we give him some task everyday).  People from Beijing also known for their hospitality, so the kids there welcome my son.  They play balls, hide and seeks, chess etc, seldom computer games !  (He also learnt 圍棋 there). This is what I like most !  So when I encourage my son to join the England tour the coming summer, he doesn't show any interest, because he prefer to speak Mandarin and play with kids he knows well !

我在為小兒交表時，在學校同二位該校中五學生傾左一陣，感覺他們都很enjoy在這校讀書(他們說大部份老師和同學都很好)。
他們表示，學校會在課餘(但不太清楚由哪一年開始，亦不知是外聘補習或校內老師)為他們補課。不收費用的。而樂器班是由外聘老師教授 ?應要收費的。 而學校應有管弦樂團的。

另想請問paupauyu，你兒子還需要面試嗎?

我完全了解兩位心情，去年這時候，我都是與你們一樣，周圍打聽 St.Paul's College 的情況，我每天都上它的 Website看看有沒有新資料，舊生會的website都看埋呀！心情就是十五十六！又不知仔仔入唔入到，入到又唔知好唔好！就是千萬個 ??   

老實說，我仔仔仍然未對學校建立很強的歸屬感。可能是由中文小學升英文中學是一個很大轉變，開始的Quiz全都不合格 (除了 Maths)，自信心很低落，我當時都很擔心。(因為小學未試過肥佬)，可幸中期試進步了，都合格，他才相信自已的能力，我相信再過一些時間，會像他師兄們一樣很喜愛他的學校！

每個個學生都要學一種樂器，我當初以為是Optional的，所以沒有參加，但後來音樂老師要Detention, 我才臨急抱佛腳去找了中國笛子課程(因為容易學)，最初是交差，但仔仔竟然喜愛，我想一人一樂器都幾好！學校沒有牧童笛班，學校的樂器班有導師，收費都幾平！

學校有英文補底班，逢星期六早上，是免費的！

我現在的心情極了矛盾，今天是面試的熱門日期 (很多學校都在今天)，同學們興高采烈地迎接這個重要的日子，小兒則仍未有此機會。我完全認同 Vincentma 所說 : [心情就是十五十六！又不知仔仔入唔入到，入到又唔知好唔好！就是千萬個 ??]  何解呢 ？ 因為他們是你的心肝寶貝。每位關心子女的父母都是如此的，未知你們同意否 ？

在此，真的希望 cccw 的兒子如他所願入到 SPC & 多謝 liza831 的祝福。

Dear pauapuyu,

Mom always worry their kids, no matter what stage they are.  They may be from kindergarten or from University.  There's why we, mothers, can share in this forum.

I am wondering why you son didn't have interview yesterday.  As far as I know, all the applicants have chance for interview.

Anyway, things will pass.  I feel that family support is the most important thing for the growth of kids.  It will encourage the kids to be 自尊自愛 no matter what envoirnment they are in.

Just for sharing.

我不知今年有沒有變，但去年因為有位給中央電腦派位，所以會於七月才與中央派位的一起公佈。所以這段時間真是十五十六，暑假都不知怎安排。

中文小學上英文小學在真是很大的轉捩點，家長要很多支持。

小兒當初心儀的學校並非SPC. 但在自行派位中不獲接見,  大抽獎又落空, 被派往SPC. 當時還奔波去心儀那間敲門, 結果食咗閉門羹. 亞仔在不情不願下入咗SPC. 中一嗰年, 迷迷惘惘咁, 成績唔好, 但識咗班好同學及一些高年班的學兄, 係功課到幫咗佢好多, 開始有番目標. 而家成績雖然一般, 但好開心, 好鍾意學校, 枱面寫住"once a St Paulian, forever a St Paulian". 所以paupauyu 講得啱, 要樂觀面對.

阿仔昨天已interview。他第一次到該校，已很喜歡，話有很多課外活動。希望他ok啦。

paupauyu 妳兒面試情況點呢?與往年一樣，該校今年參加emb自行分配學位/統一派位，所以面試結果要在7月初再由現讀小學通知。
