Marynoll or St.Mary???

My daughter is not studying in either SMCC or MCS!

In my opinion, girls from these two schools have made a lot of remarkable academic results and have done so well in extra-cirricaular activities!

Recently, 2 girls (sisters) from St. Mary's won prizes in the Asian Youth Music Competition.
They both are HKAPA students.

2間都好,當初學校可以去'孝'試時, maryknoll, st mary, DGS 是九龍區必apply的girls school.你地當時有冇去'孝'呀?
如果真的要choose one from maryknoll or st mary,咁我choose maryknoll la,只因本人所meet到的同學,同事,合唱團朋友的表現, maryknollers 比較all-rounded.
but as i say, both are excellent schools.

突出成就 - I only know that St. Mary has 10A students.  Marymount and Maryknoll don't have 10A students.
I think maybe maryknoll has better english.  St. Mary's primary is now chinese school (although SMCC is still english secondary).  ST. Mary's Chinese standard maybe higher because of this.  
Marynoll sounds more famous, St. Mary's is always low profile.
I shall choose St. Mary's for through train to secondary.  If not because of through train, I will choose Maryknoll because sounds more famous.

請問讀st。mary 會考羅10A夠唔夠特出呢 ？讀 MCS 考兩次會考理科先得 10分係未真係高人一皮呢 ？

yes of course, rachel is 張緯晴 and yes she's from Maryknoll all the way from primary school through secondary.

講開又講，其實呢個topic又真是.... 各位mummy不用argue了....因為我認得有d mummy 是反maryknoll or dgs, 無論什麼topic 關於maryknoll or dgs，她都會長篇大論話她們唔好，　唔知是否因jealous啦... 她們會說其他school 好過呢2 間.... 其實為乜呢？為啖氣？
Both St Mary and Maryknoll 都是公認的好學校，當然每間都有讀書叻讀書無咁叻的學生啦！如果你沒有親眼看親身接觸上司下屬同事同學等 只是based on 1 or 2 你女補習d同學的表現，跟本就．．齋talk無用ga!!
講真，２間都好！當然，每人都有own preference la!

Main teaching language of St. Mary's is Chinese.  For Science subject, the books are in English.  Primary 1 English adopts the textbooks of Primary 2 level.

My daughter had 20 marks and she got her place in the first round.  She was lucky as some of her kindergarten schoolmates were rejected evenif they had 20 marks as well.

I want to know is it easy for knocking the door in these two schools? Do you have friends that can get a seat via knocking door? I want to know if knocking door, should I choose one school start from the beginning?

How many seats are available for both of the schools?

Thanks for your advice.  Can you advise if there is a lot of homework or reading each day/week?

My daughter is a P.1 student.  Not too many homework.  To me and my daughter, the "homework-load" is still comfortable.

The school encourages reading both Chinese and English book.  They have about 15 minutes of reading section in the morning.
