DSE數學卷

考卷中沒有指出何為基礎部分，是因為那是在課程綱要中說明的 (http://www.edb.gov.hk/tc/curricu ... /sec-math-1999.html 見4.3和4.4內文)。

基礎和非礎部分，不是已年級分界 (事實上現在的課程綱要把學習重點從小學至中學分為四個學習階段，而非已年級劃分，所以不同教科書有不同的安排)，初中少量課題也屬非基礎部分。

其實數學科分基礎和非基礎部分已超過十五年，即 HKCEE 年代已有。

HKDSE看似比HKCEE深，是因為學多一年吧！

I never took HKCEE and now I am surprised.

There was no foundation part at the beginning.  The idea of foundation part was introduced in late 1990s.

數學從來都是一科有人愛有人恨的一科。
記得自己考會考時，考完後聽到鄰座有人說不會計圓面積，覺得詑異，圓面積是小學的課題 (現在改為中學課題)，而且考卷有提供公式，怎會不曉！？ 當時我便明白有些人的數學基礎真的可以很弱！

1234ats說得對，如果整班學生能力弱，老師可集中教授基礎部分，學生要考一個合理的分數不難。但面對能力混雜的一班，老師便不能丟下能力高的一群，只教基礎部分了。不過其實課本有標明那些課題是非基礎部分，學生可以自己調整學習重點。

So for below the par students, just focus on the foundation part (70%) can score passing mark pretty easy.

If you ignore the non-foundation part and use all the exam time on foundation part, you can get more than a pass if you can get the foundation part all correct!
