Mainly hiking and camping. Use google to search local websites of places that sell hiking and camping supplies. Some are big brands, some are no-name cheap things. Lots of them available in Hong kong. For even cheaper supplies, go on Taobao. Not everyone likes to buy from Taobao but definitely a cheap choice.

Your child is in another country? There are a lot of online shops that sell those supplies. Not sure about the UK, but in the US, a lot of online shops are cheap and convenient.
