尼間唔知係咪個職員姐姐介紹得唔好,佢話每人會帶一樣物件返去,老師會教佢豐富詞語咁介紹件物件,一堂成五 ...
I wrote in response to msmiu's request for recommending a good and enjoyable public speaking course for a child of 4 years of age. I thought that I would help by suggesting one that my boy had been going to for 2 years, which I reckon it's good and he had immense fun.
My boy is a native English speaker and so are the kids in his class in Brandon. It's not an average English class or playgroup that kids go there to learn English. Rather, they go there to polish up their public speaking skills and manners to boost their self esteems, to prepare for speech festivals and school interviews in the top boarding schools in the UK in particular. The teachers there are well qualified who speak English with beautiful BBC accents.
As far as I can remember, there has never been more that 5 kids in my boy's class. There were times that my boy was the only one, which he didn't enjoy as such. He likes bigger class, so there can be plenty of interactions within the group. Imagine if you give a speech and hardly anyone there to listen, how boring can it be! Every kid is encouraged to speak up in group discussions. The group dynamics would definitely help the process of making them better public speakers.
If you think that paying $500 an hour in top quality public speaking class is too expensive, Brandon would definitely not be your choice and I wish you luck in finding one within your budget range.
P.S. I just happened to bump into few local celebrities who bring their children to their classes in Brandon CWB branch.
