有親戚6年前在英國考GCE O-level 得8A* + 2A, 以尖子身份考入中大收生最佳的三系之一，當年還是三年制，要考AL，現在不知還有沒有尖子計劃，如有，直入大學的機會應該大，但要注意8A*和8A相差很遠。

其實lGCSE是用來預備GCE (iAL) , 但現在香港行lB學制的學校，都用來作lB預備。其實是有lB bridging program/ IB Middle year program MYP , 只是香港的lB學校，玩得比較混合。

IB是預科課程，較香港舊制AL的起步點淺一些，所以適合香港舊制的中四至中五程度學生就讀。而IGCSE的程度又較香港舊會考淺一點，所以讀完IGCSE後，接著讀IB 就剛剛可以銜接到。IGCSE又可作為學生考公開試的預習，所以多數IB學校，主要是國際學校都行此制度。

朋友的兒子, 兩年前用igces成績成功報讀中大, , 但要求他完成第一年的IB 課程, 而又在校內考試取得某個分數, 第二年不用考IB 便直上大學.   但不知現在是否仍有這個拔尖計劃

兩年前家族中有孩子也是如此入了中大神科。

Yes, still have this fast track program.  I think you need to take at least 10 GCSE/IGCSE subjects and nearly all A* to be qualified.
The girl I know, is required to continue her AS exam in UK with good results before coming back to Hong Kong for Medicine.

Noiw some schools in UK will not have AS anymore, while other schools still have AS....so not too sure how those students can qualify for fast track program.

I thought the fast track program was cancelled.  Could anyone give suggestion for a friend's girl who has been awarded IGCSE 10A* + 1A in 2014.    Would she be qualifed to apply LAW in HKU or business in HKST?  Thank you.

She should have applied last (2014) autumn.  Too late to apply now.  She better wait and apply using her GCE A level (2016) result.  Actually she needs to prepare to apply for conditional offer from all the Hong Kong universities now using her AS results.    If she studies in UK, her school will guide her.

以前AL 年代既拔尖計劃係可以，我囡中學唔少師姐用IGCSE入U，記得好似要at least 8A*才合乎最低申請資格

Thank you for sharing. I don't think she wants to go to university early.  Just check if there is any advantages to be admitted.
Few year ago someone told that the IGCSE 8 x A*  and more would be short listed for an intervirew directly when applying Oxford in final year of high school. It never states in the admission requirement officially.  I guess it must be a rumor only, funny haha.

我都想知英國大學有無 fast track / early admission咁 ge 政策。
GCSE成績好，ａｐｐｌｙ　香港ｄ大學點都著數少少。

岔開少少，igcse 成績可否預視到兩年後的ib 成績？我意思是igcse成績突出者係咪通常ib 會不俗，所以大學才會以igcse成績預收學生？

估如igcse全A*/大部份，好可能會好，ib 要閲讀及寫作能力強，英文勁成績好

基本可用作參考。，更穩陣是讀A level, 成績的變數更少
