我覺得OST STAGE 10 之後題材比較悶, Usborne Young reading 真係唔錯, 可以作為睇CHAPTER BOOKS 的橋樑, 之後我囡開始睇RAINBOW MAGIC 果類FAIRY 書.

如果搵到啲有audiobook會放比佢聽，佢有時會讀出聲，我就偶爾會問下佢內容，但唔太介懷佢明幾多，因為我當睇書係娛樂，唔係功課。

我沒有買CD。我孩子每天都讀出聲，對認字好有幫助。

我要求佢讀出聲，想肯定佢發音冇問題，啲chapter book起碼幾十頁，我只會抽其中一部分黎問，以了解佢睇唔睇得明本書。佢3月開始英文進步好多，雖然佢冇響出面學oral，但閱讀時讀出聲令佢響學校英文堂時更主動發表意見，之前評估表得3，4個excellent, 啱啱收到果份已接近100%都係excellent。如果我多啲時間，好想俾佢聽多啲audio學，希望改善下口音同語感。我個仔係讀普通學券幼稚園，如靠學校教，我諗連睇stage 1都會睇唔掂

最近他發現表姐留低的一本小說(mr mystery by james lee)。 佢一邊自己睇一邊叫我坐低倍佢，但唔俾我讀。因為個古仔有點嚇人，所以要睇快D

Are you sure he can understand the magic school bus chapter books? The science concepts are advanced.

囝先看完magic school bus 有圖文解釋的書，然後看上載到YouTube的影片，最後才看chapter books ，所以了解很多有關科學的知識。對於他自己的身體結構和系統尤其認識。

我囝囝k3下學期才開始自讀，我開始時是k3上學期，用學校教緊嗰套ort，我一讀一邊bland字，比佢知點拼，又比CD聽，學發音，佢又一邊跟讀，到k3下學期4月，我開始要佢自讀由stage 5，先聽CD，吾明才問我，好有效。除了ort阿囝都中意curious George, D字都易明，亦是岩k3起步。我買左好多書，放當眼地方，佢隨手就可簡到，吾好迫佢讀邊本，Horrid herny亦是我囝致愛，還有captain underpant 彩色版 !

Magic Tree House is a good choice;
for girls, daisy meadows have many many books; tiara princess also good;
jacqueline wilson's books are also good for girls;

for boys,
dan gutman's weird school series, diary of wimpy kids, michael broad's Jake Cake;

if the kids can handle all these, they should start Roald Dahl's books.

Mr Mystery and Mr Midnight are a series of creepy and scary books for 8-10 years old (from Singapore).
'The Lion, the witch and the wardrobe' by CS Lewis is highly recommended for the same age group.
Tony Abbott's the Secret of Droons series should also work for boys.

If they don't like stories, magic school bus, horrible history and horrible geography might work.

Thank you for your introduction. My son does like geography too as he is fond of country names and flags.
