之前嘅家長不是說play session只係睇下小朋友有無明顯嘅病或殘障，不是formal interview ，應該沒問題吧…？

not for this year.....because there are many applicants. My friend's son got rejected after the play session in Nov. Reject letter said they cannot offer a place for him because there are quite a number of applicants and priority is given to those from english speaking family who applied early.

But anyway, they still offer a chance for Small B like us..... I guess your friend should be Cantonese speaking family , the school did test the patents also ?

It is not a formal interview per se. I think like what they said in the letter, they give priority to English speaking families who applied early. I don't think babies' performance matter. so if there are English speaking families applied about the same time as I did, they would probably pick them instead.

I can't really understand their policy .... in the sense that English speaking family get the seat first and Cantonese speaking comes after. Your friend should receive waiting letter instead of reject letter ...assuming seats are still available for those who join the play session later like us and we are Non English speaking family .....


Perhaps, they have 2 queues for Big B & Small ?

i also have the same question. May be they really have 2 separate queues? I called and ask about my application sometime ago and they told me I probably will not get play session invite until maybe Sept. Maybe some students gave up their offer for other schools so they have some more seats now. When did you submit your application? Did you join their playgroup?

Same for me , they told me I will need to wait until summer for small B play session  ... I have no priority and did not join their PG .

Did you ask your friend about the performance in play session.... what happened result in a reject letter? I never heard there is reject letter ......

She said just sing songs and play, and the principal had little chat with parents, that's it. The school is oversubscribed this year, so it is normal that the school does not admit everyone.

my son is going to study First Step in sept, he missed the first play session in oct 13but got chance to have 2nd play seession in nov 13.
he is now studying playgroup at Anfield.
school said he will auto go up to k1 after first step.

k係直上，但小學唔係，我小朋友返下午，好少塞 但就要起學校附近等佢放學，紅磡好d,可以泊黃埔花園，而且有好多地方行
