Dear Logos Parents,
Attached below is a chain of self-explanatory correspondences between CUHK and me after their 2012 Information Day held on 27 October, regarding the IB English Language requirements. At first, I want to share the information with Logos parents in our PA forum which was however closed. So, I choose to post here which is the only alternative route available at this moment.

Dear Mr
With reference to your earlier enquiry about the IB English requirement, the Faculty has looked into the changes to the language subjects in Groups 1 and 2 for the IB examinations in 2013 and afterwards, and resolved that:
For applicants sitting the IB examination in 2012 and before: Applicants shall have obtained good grades in IB English at Higher Level (A1, A2 or B); or good grades in IB English at Standard Level (A1 or A2 only).
For applicants sitting the IB examination in 2013 and after: Applicants shall have obtained good grades in IB English A at Higher or Standard Level; or good grades in IB English B at Higher Level only.
Regards Gladys

Dear Mr
Thank you for your email.
We noted that there are some changes to the language subjects in Groups 1 and 2 for the IB examinations in 2013 and afterwards. The Faculty will need some time to look into the changes and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
Regards Gladys

Dear Ms Chau,
Thanks for your prompt response.
My question is:-
My daughter is now studying at HKCCCU Logos Academy which offers IB curriculum.
The language subjects arranged by the school are:-
Group 1 ; Chinese Language (Standard Level)
Group 2 : English Language (Higher Level)
I understand that most of the other schools offering IB curriculum will have English Literature & Language (Standard or Higher Level) as the Group 1 language subject. I want to know whether your Faculty will not accept IB students taking English Language as Group 2 subject even though it is of Higher Level, or you need the student to take the IELTS test as a supplement qualification?
Many thanks!

Dear Mr
Greetings from the CUHK Faculty of Law .
Thank you for your visit to our Faculty during the 2012 Orientation Day last Saturday. Mr Steven Gallagher, the Assistant Dean (UG Student Affairs), has referred your enquiry about admissions to the LLB Programme Team for follow up. To allow us better address your concerns, could you please let us know your specific enquiries? We will then get back to you as soon as possible.
With best regards, Gladys Chau Executive Officer CUHK Faculty of Law
