我從來無心批評你兒子的才華, 但我是based on真道校網>學生>校內/校外獎項 (http://www.logosacademy.edu.hk/frameset02.htm), 看到真道學生鋼琴最高級的還是六級. 那真道書院真是有點埋沒了你兒子的才華了, 或是對你兒子有點不公平, 這麼有音樂才華也不登出來.
另外, 坊間的補充練習是參差不齊的, 就算跟level也不必準確. 例如, 兩本同樣是P6的練習出的題目的深淺也可是很不同的. 相反, 公開考試是得到公開認可及承認, 有一個大家認同的standard, 比起坊間的補充練習可靠得多. 比方說, 你寫portfolio也不會說自己完成哪本哪本補充練習, 但會說自己考過什麼什麼公開考試, 去證明自己的程度. 考公開考試也是最公平的方法來評核孩子的程度, 因為所有考生都是在同一個condition下考試. 相反, 孩子在一個舒適的環境下作補充練習, 心理上可能沒有壓力, 跟在試場做是有很大差別的

Very true indeed. There can be great difference among the Logos children and parents commenting on Logos. In my view, gifted children can learn a lot if they study in Logos (w/ exceptionally high intelligence) as long as they can assimilate ideas fast. For instance, these children may have known how to do research and conduct experiments on their own, basically according to what they have learnt from books or teachers, they are capable of keeping up with the science taught in Logos, that may certainly be a harduous task do deal with in normal children’s eyes.
Nevertheless, normal children may not be abe to progress with the pace of what has been taught in class. They would probably get perplexed or simply don’t understand what’s going on.
