It is a transparent trophy with something written on it like "Amazing Child".  To me, every child is amazing and is a gift to all of us, so, I think every child will have a trophy simliar to this if without a trophy like Most Oustanding Award (name created by me).

The English name of the ward in nursery and kindergarten are different.

Nursery: Amazing Child Award
Kindergarten: Smart Pupil Award

My son will be in K1C, but was transferred from another Nursery. Seems that there are many students were studied KCS Nursery, have your kids studied Putonghua in KCS Nursery? I am afraid my son cannot catch up so fast likes yours......

Don't be so worried.  They can adapt very fast.  If your son feel discourage at first, give him more support and encouragement.  Listen well to the CD given by the school, could start with the song.  That's the easiest way to get satisfaction.  If you could not teach him at home, then do it the other way, let him to the the teacher at home, he teaches you Mandarin at home.  Hope this helps.

I have not locate a classmate in K1B .  :(

My niece also transferred to KCS in K1 from another pre-nursery 3 years ago.  She had no previous Mandarine exposure like your kid and she did not have any adaption problem.  Children can master a language very quick, no worry as GIPW has said.

For your information, there are only 5 PN classes in KCS, but expands to 11 classes in K1, so, there are many many children transferred from outside.

You can try to call his Putonghua's name, then he can used to this.

Hi All Nursery-->K1 KCS mammies, I need your advisory.
My son will be K1C student in coming year.
I want to ask if Nursery of KCS is good or not? I'm thinking to apply 2010/11 Nursery of KCS for my daughter. We live in Tseung Kwan O, I'm not sure whether it's too far for a 2 yr-old girl.... please advise.
