I agree with the above, IPA is for older kids or grown ups. And IPA won't necessarily help with spelling. I also did some research and considered whether to let my child take IPA but concluded there's no such need. As rainbow_py_chow says, you should try to find out how your child learns, ie. auditory or visually. Also, many kids are not confident in second languages thus they are less willing to put in effort in learning the words. You should try to stimulate her interest and try to find out real reason why she cannot memorize the words.
Using flashcards to play games might be a good way to help her spell too. |
