沙田英基小學難入嗎?

想替女兒申請year3,我和丈夫及女兒也是本地香港人,我們亦不是英基staff,剛寄了申請表,但心想一定有排才有得面試,因他們的staff說,每班現在都有100個人等候緊,故我想我的机会很渺茫!
有冇媽媽可分享等候約見的經驗,他們喜歡收那种學生,我知還要約見父母,他們会問什広呢?会否對父母的英語程度好重視呢!而沙田英基小學與RC比較,各有什麼長短處呢?
我問過RC有位!
女兒現在讀緊kingston,學費太貴,有點不值,故想轉第二間国際學校,故有以上問題.請指教!謝謝!

SJC is of course a good school, but RC is getting better, so if you are living in NT, should be a good choice too.

Yes, SJC is very difficult to enter even you are Cat 1 (Native English Speaker) so RC is a good choice too, school is getting better now, and the principal is the ex-IB Director in Singapore before he came HK and take up this post.

RC school fee is also not "cheap". I think it is more or less the same as Kingston. RC is getting better now.

My son is studying in SJS but he was ESF kindergarten students before. As I know, P1 is very difficult. For other grades, depends on number of seats available. This year end may be better because some exp may leave HK due to economic tsunami. The most important criterion is speaking in English during interview for your daugther. Once speak Chinese, failure.

I was being interviewed before. I think they also test parents' English as well.

RC & SJS 長短處:  SJS students are very happy and their English is very good. SJS with many years history and they got a very good reputation and outstanding performance among ESF schools.

RC emphases on both Mandarin and English but just few years history. School is new and got very good facilities.

Fees are payable in ten monthly instalments over the course of the academic year. New students are required to pay a non-refundable, non-transferable deposit as an advance payment towards the first term’s fees when they have been offered a place. The deposit is HK$10,000 for primary and HK$16,000 for a secondary school place. This payment is also required when students transfer from an ESF primary school to an ESF secondary school.

are u sure there will be some expats leaving SJS?  I'm still on the waiting list - 20 sth.  I think I may have to wait until P3 or P4 .  Do u think so?  Indeed, I hope I can get an interview for P2 .  Can anybody share your experience?  Thank you.

Dear Fattymom.
We chatted in this forum some time ago (about your child's acceptance to JIS).

Do you still want to have your son go to SJS even though he is studying in JIS now?
If yes, why?

I rememeber you said JIS is a good school - caring and warm sense of belonging, good parent-student-techcher relationship.
