11年10月底細仔，考7間肯收細仔的中西區及灣仔區PN.頭4間唔收我ok,因為in個陣太細，剛一歲。但第5間in已經有14個月大。佢表現ok,我答得好好Tim,同組其他家長都跟我答。我呢4-5個月日日在家好俾心機教佢。佢14個月已經識曬26 字母，講野叻過20個月大既B.Bye bye ,thank you,乜都識。父母職業寫出黎都ok,究竟我地仲差d乜？后日in兩間都係大熱，都係陪跑多。好傷心

Usually for PN, the school focus on the response of the kid in the circle time. I think even knowing abc would not help as the teacher won't ask you these kind of questions. And you mention that your son even speaks better than 20 mons kid by saying bye bye thank you, I think many children can do it at their 14 months. I suggest you do not only focus on teaching him the hard skill but rather than soft skill like whether he enjoys playing toys, response in circle time.

唔好咁快放棄呀! 謀事在人, 成事在天. 有好多嘢唔喺我哋控制範圍, 只可盡力而為. 總之, hope for the best, plan for the worst! + oil!!

唔使擔心你仔仔好叻啦其實我囡囡都係10月31出世 in左3間一間收一間waiting 一間等結果她表現都係一般而且都冇講野我覺得唔好迫小朋友太緊識幾多唔係重點係小朋友要開心見到老師開心會笑先有用或是好像我咁考一間新校當後備 k先再發力考心水

Thank you for your suggestion. I also held circle at home frequently (me, my husband, and baby), he is ok for this. But how can we let him enjoy it more?

Also, those kindergartens didn't do circle time, only let them play and observe. I think my baby is ok too.....don't know why......

So how do you see his responses at the play session? And do you involve in it? Sometimes parents are quite protective to the kids ( help them play, hold them in their arms). Also, for those kg who claim accepting small kids, are you really sure they are. Some of them will offer interview but small b are not their first target though. Anyhow, don't be disappointed. Keep up and all the best . ( my girl is also oct 2011 baby)

I can share some tips with all parents. My girl is oct 2011 baby. She can speaks in short sentence both in Chinese and English. Pronounce word with three to four syllables. Can count one to twenty. Can sing a few songs like abc, twinkle twinkle little stars, and even catholic song like 感謝主。she can remember some rhymes with 40 words. She can recognized some simple words and numbers( but I didn't teach all to recognize all letters). When I show her flash card with two words like beautiful lion, she can say lion after I said beautiful. What I have been doing since birth is : play music( children songs, classical music, reader, phonics) since she was two months. Free reading with her from two months old. Read with her since 5 months old. No DVD, no tv, no iPhone , iPad up till now. Flash card in English and Chinese everyday for three times since four months( take you less than 2 mins in total a day). She like reading. She can read on her own or read with you. Over 30 times a day. She will never turn the book upside down ( if it did, she will turn it back that's mean she really know how to read or see the pictures).keep talking to her. For whatever. Tell them what you are doing. Read more with her. Bring them to the park everyday. Eat healthy and concentrated. Don't distract her when she is doing something. Hope all of you can spend more time with your little one and make it a quality one. I am a working mom. So at day time, my mom and helper play and talk and read with her. When I come back from work, I play with her with her sister( usually dad doesn't have the mood to play long with baby).but remember , every kid is different, so don't compare them with others. For parents, you are advised to be a role model of them, read more articles and books about parenthood. Share more with your friends. That will upkeep you being better mom.

因為你小朋友係細B, 有好多大過你BB幾個月的小朋友都會同你BB爭N 班學位. 可能對於細B黎講, 26 字母好深, 但對於好多大B黎講, ABC 已經好熟都唔出奇. 唔排除有其他小朋友比你BB in 得更好. 不過你BB咁細個已經咁叻, 明年考K1 或報N 班實冇問題!

Very useful, thanks. But I think girls and boys' development paths are very different.

I won't surprised if girls got these developments by this age, but boys... if what the host says is correct, what i see is that the kid's parents did push hard to train him up. Is this what kinder teachers want / avoid?

多謝你有興趣看。我有一個大女兒，已十歲了。我從前已未有放太多心機，細時很想他看書，只管叫他看。沒有模樣給他、陪讀。我又看見身邊人勁谷小朋友，幾歲學好多野，但考小學成績不理想（所以只有知識不行）。我不斷學習，上課。附上很好的一本書，另外的講者李慧蘭的父母教練也很有用
