Feeling very depressed. Another crash on 9 Oct!

SPCC at 2:45pm, CKY at 4:15pm

How to manage?

Anyone knows how long it will last for SPCC interview?

From various previous posts, the interview can last an hour or more, though for some candidates the duration can be as short as 40 minutes. The earlier you arrive, the earlier the candidate is asked to go into the interview area, so you may consider arriving at SPCC about 30 minutes before the stipulated arrival time.

Is 4:15 pm the registration time or the commencement time of the interview? I just wonder if the usual 30-minute pre-interview buffer applies for CKY. If it is the registration time only, you will have about 30 to an hour (depending on when the SPCC interview finishes) to take a taxi to CKY from SPCC. Remember to get a taxi call centre's number and call them in advance so that you don't need to wait at the school entrance.

I think being late for registration (but not the interview itself) will not be a big problem.

Co-edu 始終係全香港最頂級的學校，唔去面試真係會後悔!!!
建議早點去Co-edu，希望早點去interview，然後飛的士去CKY, 考慮行西隧，應該半小時左右會到。遲少少都無辦法......

The interview duration for SPCC really depends b'cos it doesn't follow the "first-in, first-out" rule. For example, a kid may spend more than an hourwhile other kids finish it in 30 mins.

I think it would be a hard nut to crack in your case if you like SPCC and CKY at the same time. Probably you may need to make an earlier decision as to which school is more suitable to your kid. Both are good schools, but they are fundamentally very different.

But of course, if your kid is physically up to it, youmay consider taking both (i.e. go to SPCC earlier than scheduled and then rush to CKY by taxi).

already have DGJS crashed with KTS in the morning, so have to give up one school.

don't wanna to waste my chance of not attending CKY interview. ok, i will arrive SPCC 30 mins earlier and see whether I can make it.

I'm now so scared of time clash for SPCC interview on 9 Oct. Now in office but really want to hurry back home to take a look at the mailbox....

Hi munce,

Don't worry! I think you have enough time to CKY but of course you better to arrange a private car waiting outside SPCC or arrange a taxi in advance.

If you can arrive 30 minutes earlier, they will let you go inside.

很同情妳...,
不過,如果像我一樣同spcc毫無任何關係,那麼我可能會放棄spcc,畢竟太難了....賭不過,我會去博DGS(雖然也很困難,但勝數大一DD)

真的不能更改時間嗎?? 嘗試去問問看可否更改時間.

My situation is:

1) DGS - her mom (i.e. me) is old girls, but only 1 student from my girl's kindergarten got it DGS last year. Plus, they don't count marks on old girls.

2) SPCC - non related, but 8 student (out of 70) from my girl's kindergarten got into SPCC last year. Plus, my girl is a "small" girl that SPCC usually don't like.

So, I should defintely go to DGS instead, right? But as you mentioned before, I will feel regret for not attending SPCC's interview even though the chance of getting in is very minimal.

I submitted on 8 Sep noon time. Really did not expect to crash with SPCC as their interview internal is last for a month....

Think if you really like both school?
There are 6 exams in one school(the 1st one will be on 6th Oct), exactly 4 of them are tests(scheduled in normal time table) but they still call them examination, they just worry that the kids would took them too easy.

The other one has only 2 exams but they call them assessment. They just worry that the kids would be too stressful.
I knew a P2 kid even didn't know the word 'examination' though she can speak fluent English!
