想問,小朋友已經讀緊IB課程既家長,佢地每日都會有幾多功課要做架? 會有幾多次默書,考試,測驗呢? 小朋友每天仲有幾多時間可以去玩下,做下其他野咁呢? 其實我唔係好攪得清楚,我想小朋友開心怏樂去學習,想佢英文好D,唔想佢每日都只係面對沉重既功課,考試同測驗,想活動教學,咁IB課程實況既學習情況係點呢? 請分享及賜教,謝謝!

阿仔就讀英基，今年Y9，小學不見他有甚麼功課，一個星期大概一份英文一份數，僅此而已，中學開始有點功課，可是也不多，從沒看見他要趕功課，做完學校功課和課外的公文數，練好琴，都仍有很多時間看書看電視玩遊戲，so far 十分ok，再上去就不知如何了，我拭目以待

不過同樣行IB的學校也可能有不同的教法和功課政策，朋友女兒同樣讀英基，不過不同學校，課程都有出入，offer的課外活動也不一樣，所以只以是否行IB而斷定學校功課多寡未必準，可能需要仔細問問學校

The reason I asked is that according to IBO, except for RC and DC, other ESF Secondary Schools are not offering IB MYP yet (not IB for Year 7 to 11). From what I have heard (correct me if I am wrong), MYP is a demanding program. I am just wondering was it because your kid is not doing IB and therefore his homework is still fairly relaxing in Year 9.

CJC安樂窩，you are absolutely right. WIS doesn't offer MYP because students there take the IGCSE. However their curriculum is build based on the IB framework and prepares students to IB Diploma at Year 13.

Maybe this indeed is the reason for having a more relaxed lower and middle school years? I am not sure but for what I have observed, my son has been enjoying a happy school life since primary, and is doing well academically. I think that's the most important part

My daughter is now in Year 7 and I don't think she is being overloaded with homework. As Annie123 said, time management and planning is the key. A Year 11 boy recently told me that the real challenge will start at Year 10, i.e. one year before the IBDP.

One point to note: the interesting and in deed challenging part of IB homework is that students are required to understand the requirements of each assignment and really to plan and think. E.g. for PE they are required to design a gym routine (with or without tools), document the routine on a step by step basis (supported by photos and narratives), do the performance in front of the whole class and to write a reflection. The entire process will be completed within a specific period of time (say 2 weeks). The real performance may only take 2 mins but you can imagine the effort that students need to put in.

話時話，上學期他的English在SL得4，佢要求轉HL, 而家反而5-6。我都唔明，雖然真係寫得好咗
遅d再分享，他的選科策略令老師們都O咀!

好，冇問題，一定在日誌繼續分享。
妳女兒選好科未，要小心選擇。上星期學校要小兒及同學落實只准三科HL，因為他們到現在都讀緊4-5個HL。外籍老師唔明白班男仔點解攞苦來辛，現在開始明白他們叫緊＂三，四飛＂。

Can you explain what's 叫緊＂三，四飛＂? The U will consider the total IBDP marks. Will it make any difference if one get 42 (3H3L) and the other get 42 (4H2L).

講到要叫＂幾飛＂，自然唔一定PG有42，而是接近，例如：38-42。因為不同專業有不同的要求，例如：Economics，QFin 要數學HL 7，Medicine 要化學HL 7，Law要English HL。若果lBDP第一年后，任何一科HL比預期差，可以將它降到SL，PG可以提升，而且同時滿足指定科目的要求。大意是這樣了!
