I observed even some of them are come from middle and upper middle classes, but they didn't boast much in the school and not use it to discriminate other students.

Interestingly, some parents will label this as disadvantage of elite schools.

However much you like TSL, can you be sure that after 6 years at TSL, your son can get into a better secondary school than DBS?
If money is not a problem, I shan't hesitate even for a second in picking DBSPD.

之前睇過一個節目, 一個DBS的old boy迫自己個仔要讀書讀書讀書....話連去旅行都要拎d練習做, 話學習要never stop...我就覺得呢間學校好得人驚....

I watched that program too, it's horrible.

But in real life, I won't generalise DBS's parents, kids and school based on an outliner. Talk to more DBS parents and students before drawing your final conclusion.

i don't think you should select the school base on which school is better than the other....  
however, you should choose the one better match your educational vision and suitable your child's learning style.

當然不會憑一個家長的言行為斷定生死
但係, 都是一個參考
正如我地成日見到某某校的學生的表現唔好, 就認定佢間學校唔好一樣, 同一道理吧

I never said DBS is the best.
But nevertheless, it is a school of very high standing in Hong Kong.
All I am saying is that it is not easy to get into a secondary school as good as DBS.
How many TSL boys can get into a school equivalent to or better than DBS - 10%? 20%? 30%? 50%?
At the end of the day you are still risking your son ending up in a secondary school of a lower standing than DBS.
So why take that chance?
