Re: 07/08 KTS INTERVIEW

Hi,
The Maths question for my daughter was also shown in a picture:
There are six apples on the tree, three monkeys have eaten two of them, how many apples left?
quite tricky, isn't it.
But I do agree with YuYumother, of course, getting the right answer is good, but more important is the way the child to handle problem. i think most of the schools are using this approach.
My son didn't apply KTS but your question is quite tricky, so I asked my son today see if he can answer.
At first he answered three. I asked him again and he still said three. But then I repeated the question and he said four. He finally got it right.
Then I told him I'll ask him a very very difficult question. My question was
"There are six apples and three monkeys on the tree, each monkey have eaten two apples, how many apples are left?"
He turned around and after a while said "0 law"!
I was really really surprised that he could answer that! |
