ECA may count in borderline case.

If your daughter is not a borderline case, ECA is not important
On the contrary, being a potential borderline case and joining too much ECA may pull her down from the borderline case and make her a straight failure case.

In the old days, a lot of elite students who chose phy chem A Math and Pure Math got into medical schools, and they studied well then. They studied ce biology, though there is a gap between ce and biological science in medical schools, ALL of them got through well.

In the new dse system, students who did not choose biology learned only a little bit knowledge in biology in F.3, which is quite a problem in their study in their junior years in medical schools. However if these students make the necessary effort, the lack of biology in dse should not be an obstacle to study medicine.
