Besides, there is another choice to take a minibus from ifc.

其實巴士12A，除了在金鐘上車，也可在中環D1出口（A＆F）乘搭。

至於綠色小巴1A, 總站在IFC 近四季酒店那邊。

第一天返學會特別多人。正常是預計十分鐘由中環或金鐘上學校。
第一天我奉勸大家預半小時，安全為上。
而且，我記得第一天比平日較遲上學。故此，交通比平日較為擠迫。

至於放學，學校旁邊有條樓梯直落St Jo, 然後直落山頂纜車站或是行入香港公園。同學們通常一大班人行去中環或金鐘地鐵站。

我選SPCC, 除了學業成績，我就是欣賞學校安排的各類型活動，使小朋友跳出comfort zone 和放眼世界！

其實學校安排得很妥善，家長不用擔心。
中一 SAW 野外受訓一星期。
中二 SAW 北京之旅五天。
體育又有游泳丶跳舞 和各方面活動。
中三去澳洲便有技能去應付一切。

這是一個難忘之旅，使一些港孩不再港孩，每個人都可以獨當一面，而且學生之間的友誼再加深鞏固。

我喜歡SPCC加入很多國際學校元素。這是一般local schools不能提供的良好學習氣氛。

四月中又有一天Sports Activities Day, 睇見都開心，你女兒之前參加邊項活動？

我見今次有 Bowling, Sport Climbing, Hockey, Lawn Bowls, Archery, Golf and Dance.


其他學校的summer camp, 主要是學術，仲要十幾天便四丶五萬，我覺得不值。我之前寧願帶女兒去外國真正的訓練營。

這裏 ROP 規定所有學生參加，即是學費減免的學生也有資助，照顧埋一些家庭需要，我是欣賞的。 我想 ROP 出發點就是培養一個全面的人。

I replied in Chinese twice but the content disappeared suddenly.


F.1,2,3 - the same lot of classmates. No so-called "Brilliant" class!  

Regarding Chinese, English, Liberal Studies (4 subjects), the students will be divided by set too.

As such, the kid will know not only the classmates in her/his class, but also the classmates in other classes.

There are around 20 ppl per set.   

For Chinese, English, Maths, there are two sets with top students.  For the rest of sets, roughly speaking, they are divided evenly.  In F2, certainly the students will be allocated again according to the exam result.

For L.S, all the students are divided evenly.


I observe most of pupils would leave the school by themselves because it is a Secondary school.

Certainly there are some cars and domestic helpers waiting outside the school.  I would say that they are not the majority.

Regarding the allocation exam, I don't care it too much.  Perhaps the other parents here may help you.

1.  是否所有學生也要學一樣樂器? 鋼琴是否計算在內?Nope!  Not compulsory!  Here is something like a University.  You can play whatever you like. It is not that traditional.  If you are strong at harmonica, you can even enjoy this kind of music instrument too.  There are many different clubs for selection to fit for your hobbies.  However, no Chinese music instrument is available in this school.  Regarding orchestra, I believe many of students attained grade 8 or diploma here.  Regarding piano chamber, the min. requirement is grade 8 or above but most of them attained diploma.


2.  是否所有學生也要學一樣運動? 什樣叫學? 要參加課程嗎? 或只是在體育堂學?
Nope!  Develop the talent you like only.  Meanwhile, the students have chances to try different types of Sports in PE lessons.  During summer holiday or after school, there are some sports courses for selection.  It's NOT mandatory.  Certainly if your kids are part of SPORTS TEAM members, they need to stay after school for drilling.  Just like athletics, basketball, badminton, football, swimming or dancing, I believe that the kids need more time for practice before the races.


3.   學校是否真的如外界所傳: 女多男少? 一般一班男女比例是多少?
Nope.  Half and Half.  Perhaps female is a little bit more.


4.   功課多嗎? 是否做group project 的比較多?  學校生活是否很忙?
Yup.  Busy.   The homework is not that traditional.  It is not drilling exercise.  Kids need to learn and think independently.  It involves lots of writing to express their thinking or prepare the scripts to present the ideas in class.
I suggest that parents should let go.  You may guide them a bit but never help them too much!  Helping them too much is ruining their independent analytical skills, responsibility and even creativity.


5.   是否每星期也要中英文默書?
Nope.  I don't think so.  No need to worry too much.  Dictation or quiz are not that important.  It won't affect too much on exam mark.   Let them try to arrange all these things by themselves.  They have to learn how to allocate the time.

Birds of a feather flock together.  Like attracts like.  It is normal to have different groups.

My daughter has many good friends from SPCCPS though she graduated from another primary school.

The school provides opportunities to build up the atmosphere of team work and let kids work as a union for the class.

It helps those shy and passive students participate in different activities.

I notice that some social workers or christian parents hold various indoor or outdoor activities.  The resource and support are adequate here.

You will see how intimate the school is.  Sit back and relax but do join more later.


My advice:  (1) Check the intranet (eclass) (2) Join PTA  => Join the activities you and your kid like!

The Music Department is exploring the possibility of forming one or more of the ensembles including Chinese Music Ensemble.   The new students will have more choices.

朋友囝讀band 1尾學校，他原本喜歡chem, 最後變成了history. 我覺得很奇怪，原來就是中三成績不夠好，不夠人爭，不能選Chem, 最慘他的學校規定自己不能外出報考。

相反，SPCC 就資源充足，沒有聽到此情況，只會盡量match 學生喜好。而且，仲有 IB 你揀，反而有大多嘢揀而頭痕。

Good to hear that.  Honestly, I was so worried that you were one of  Monster parents.  

AQ and EQ is more important than IQ.  

As parents, we mainly need to care our kids' health and help build a positive thinking mindset.  

All roads lead to Rome.

You are really mean but I don't mind it indeed.  

My relatives got very good academic result (7A in HKCEE and 3A in HKALE) but one suicided and the other one got mental illness.  After that, I have heard many sad stories about those elites with mental disorder.


好好預備，量力而為 -  Do you think that it doesn't involve hard-working?????  
Do you think that it doesn't need any good preparation or drilling?????  
How come you think that "叫人HEA 讀自己猛鋤" ?????

Your mind is full of bad ideas.  I just hope to spread positive atmosphere here.


Have you read newspapers recently?  
20 suicides within 190 days ????!!!!!  
Do you think that studying is the only concern in our kids' life?


Come on.  Wake up before it is too late.  Life is really short !


My girl did work hard, paid attention in class and got good result in SPCC.  I am happy that she is studying in a relaxing environment instead of fighting with each other in a stressful way.

ROP 不要依賴男仔。 大家獨立個體，自己嘗試挑戰一下。

我聽過一位中四男同學分享，有些女仔過於依賴當然不好，有些女仔太強去鬧其他女仔就更不好！
