sampapa, do you mean no chance for others if we haven't received telephone call for second interview??? So letter is only for rejection ?

Me too, 今日問過學校, they say still not send notification for 2nd Interview, Waiting List or Reject.  The letter is almost ready and arrive early next week.

But some parents in EK already said they had 2nd interview end of June and some very keen parents like 'sampapa' already think 6-7 offers have been given to kids end of June

I totally don't understand why the school would LIE about 2 nd Interview telephone calls and offers they have already given.   Crazy ......

How can you trust this school then?????

I don't think they issue reject letter. My friend just got WAITING LIST letter but not get 2 nd interview. so means no chance? anybody know? how can be on waiting list when not getinvitation for 2 nd Interview.
can't understand.

Thanks Waichunmama. But your case have 2nd Interview and offer, do you mind telling us why 2 nd interview is so late in March?  I thought application deadline is last october and they arrange 2 nd interview very quickly .
Also Do you mean straight Waiting List have higher chance than 2 nd interview but did not get offer. I don't really understand because I think if got 2 nd interview but no offer will mean they are in waiting list too.

My friend is very unhappy because his son got Waiting List which make me very
nervous cause the letter should arrive this week.

So your kid was on waiting list and then SMC invite your kid for 2nd in in March???

Maybe there is still hope for my friend.

Waiting List too.  I guess chance is very very very low.Just look forward for offers from other schools

I don't really agree with your comment "SMC收生是按能力收生".   Don't forget these kids are only K2 (5 years old).   Can they really assess their 能力 at this early age???? No way.   We also know girls are normally develop quicker than boys at this young age, does it mean they give offer to many girls.

I just think the 45-60 mins Interview is only a snapshot of these kids.   Whether they have the 能力 is anybody's guess.   The selection criteria is only a way to screen kids which THEY THINK will perform well, not their 能力.

I am still very disappointed this school don't tell parents the real expectation of the process.   Calling parents for 2nd interview 2 weeks after 1st interview (behind our backs) instead of the 1 month which the Admin Office tell parents is totally NOT acceptable.   I will not consider this school anymore.

If you really 每個月一封, the principal will throw away into the bin.

Of course too early 開始寫.   The application period ends in October.   
They will not give you 2 nd interview until next year when all 1st round
application interview is complete.

Be considerate, if you keep writing letter now, the Principal will feel very annoyed and will remember you kids name, maybe will not consider your kid for 2nd interview.

Do you mean those who go to 2nd in recently in July/August???

Many parents already got offer after 2nd interview in June/July because they apply and interview very early.

If no result more than 1 month, then no offer la.   They call for 2nd interview in 2 weeks and give offer after 1 week.   The best is only waiting list.   If this is school is only backup 唔去 la.

This is how bad this school is.   They already give many offer in June and July but they always lie
when parents call them to ask.
