I shared about IB not fit for all students years back.......

That's why I struggled and investigated which best fit my son 7 years ago, NSS or IB? He made a right decision and move on.

NSS and IB just a choice at the cross road, so many cross road in front of them, if they know how to research, analysis, make a better decision ...... More important than excellent DSE or IBDP results.

Note: as usual, I only compare NSS vs IB, DSE vs IBDP. IB vs DSE, Apple to orange.

DSE 1－5是水平對照，但 5* 及 5** 是拉 curve . 所以是考評局控制 * *比例。

OLE 是被逼去做，包括學校、老師、學生，滿足考評局要求！主要計時數，不要寫報告，不少學校外判！

CAS 分為三大類，創意，行動(落手落腳)，服務，要平衡發展！每個CAS項目有八個不同考量標準，同時要寫報告！過份偏重，不夠平衡，指導老師要迫學生去嘗試，跳出舒服地帶，以學習成效 >> 時數及交差！

讓大家明白UCAS的表是有好多問題，我舉幾個倒大家參考。

單是lB數學就有：

Further Maths
Maths
Math Studies

130 邊個 HL？你唔好同我噏FM，Maths HL 低於M1M2！

lB 語文有母語，外語，及初階。你唔好同我講英文5** 會整體優於 Eng A Lit HL ！

要了觧 lB是要認真做功課，懶人包，幫不了！UCAS份 Expert Report 都有限制及局限性，要細讀及小心引用。

遟些GCEAL會改變，又有不同境況。

再上網看看Oxford Cambridge IC LSE 點收生，講明邊科，甚麼水平的成績，不是計分的。

香港一向參考英國，到新高中就隱隱晦晦，又文中有理，理中有文，四不像，大學只有執生。4＋1，4＋2，Best 5，4＋3，M1M2獨立等等。

教育局一開始整個33222夠資格入大學，又是誤導，不少家長以為真係有位，到好夢成空，自然找人出氣。

香港八大對收lB有不明文規定，30分起跳，三大水泡科已經收到32。不過35分已經有獎學金及學分豁免！

港大醫學院收NJ約25%，中大醫學院35%＋，中大比港大收多些有學士學位的學生，因為大哥哥大姐姐對班小朋友有正面影響！

當年有家人在NSS實施前，有機會聽了教育局及考評局的介紹NSS及DSE，再了解大學的看法，加上自己第一身專業評審大學課程時，發現問題的嚴重性，所以要搵其他出路，在NSS之外，香港唸 lB 是較便宜及適合自己家庭的可行選擇！

後來阿仔開竅，可以選擇NSS及lB，雖然知道 lB多野做，懶惰的他最後選擇 lB，當然做到隻積咁！！

到入大學，數學及理科上，NSS的尖子學生是有輕微優勢，語文，文科及通識，一般 lB學生又有優勢！

出社會工作，暫時未有資料分享！

假設入醫科dse成積係36分，我估全港只有1.5%人夠資格.i ...

你有兩個錯誤的假設：

1。DSE 36分好大入到醫學院，除非有其他問題，lB 43分只有機會靣試。DSE top 1.5%，NJ top 0.5% 入到醫學院。

2。香港尖子不論為人為己，大多數選醫學院。lB 都有 overweight 醫學院，但冇DSE咁誇張。不少選些冷門科目。

我上面已經講咗母語及外語的分別！

GCEAL及lB的母語英文，自然比DSE的第二語文英文有明顯差距，點會低於DSE的道理！

不過，點講都好，明就明，不明就不明，或者選擇性失明！

香港有部份家長好得意，一講到香港教育制度就咬牙切齒，一講到DSE就眉飛色舞！我都唔明白？

如發現實力唔夠，點會年年 keep 住比 offer 比 IB 生？

當年初初有香港學生用 IB 申請 NJ，有幾間大學水泡科用24分收 .... 自然出事 ....IB 24 = NSE 33222 !!!

第二年自然加上去，由於要收AD, HD ... 水泡科都加到 30，3 大加到 32+。十幾年了，大學好透 .... 好了解！
