聖保羅書院嘅DSE成績都穩定地B1A好多年了。

講真男校就得皇仁係b1a, 其他英皇，港華，九華，男拔都。。。

如果单看已公布3年DSE CEM5+%，B1A男校就只有QC, SPC, SJC.

SJC 係唯一一間一線男校無論成績好壞都將自己dse會考過去十幾所有成績擺上網任你睇....唔會好咗兩年就擺唔好嗰兩年就擺兩日.... 間學校入面有成半班學生都係職業運動員, 今年港超足球有幾個中六生都已經去打港超la....佢哋啲成績你估有幾高? 拉curve都有頭幾名, 勁

2025 International Advanced Level (IAL) Examination Results

We are thrilled to share the outstanding accomplishments of our sixth cohort of students who have completed the International A-Levels qualification at our College.

This year, 27 students graduated from the programme, and their results have been nothing short of outstanding. Among them, 13 students have achieved the highest A* grade in four or five subjects. Impressively, 109 grades were awarded to this cohort in total, with an impressive 82 of those being A* grades. Furthermore, an exceptional 97.2% of the grades attained were either A* or A.

We are also proud to announce that every one of our IAL graduates has successfully met the entry requirements for their chosen university programmes, marking a significant milestone in their academic journey and setting a strong foundation for future success.

这样的grade inlfation, iAL很快会变成鸡肋，神科都不会太看重。

The biggest advantage of IAL is to avoid the tricky DSE Chinese.

For Non JUPAS admission, local universities either require no Chinese examination or accept IGCSE Chinese to meet their entrance requirement.

The level of IGCSE Chinese is similar to S1 of a local school. For DSE students, only NCS can take IGCSE Chinese as an alternative to DSE Chinese for JUPAS Admission.

It is obvious a loophole to accept IGCSE Chinese for those local  students with Chinese as their mother tongue for Local Non JUPAS admission.

避开中文是一件事，也真的唯有iAL可以，但问题是整个iAL成绩的份量，对比DSE和IB，似乎越来越低，

Local universities will adjust their admission requirements for IAL applicants. Like CU MbChb, it requires 4A* 95UMS which is not easy comparing to DSE 35.

Avoidance of DSE Chinese is still the key advantage of local Non JUPAS. This is applicable to IB as well.

For IB, most of the local students can choose Chinese B which is supposed to be for students learning Chinese as a second language.

For DSS schools IAL/IB students, they had studied the same Chinese curriculum as their DSE counterparts for 9 or10 years. All in a sudden, they become NCS in local Non JUPAS. This is not fair at all to the DSE students.

For those students taking Chinese B HL, they are required to take English A which is for natives. DSE English is at proficiency of second language level.
So this is fair

At least IB students have a choice according to their language proficiency.

Many Band 1 boys' schools have about 20% students cannot get a 3 in DSE Chinese. If these students can choose IAL English and IGSE Chinese as an alternative to DSE, much less students will be rejected by the universities due to a 2 in Chinese.

PS, if score is greater than median, students are admitted even Chinese is 2

An example is 36+2( Chinese) in 2022 by mbbs.

Yes, it is now more flexible than before but 3 in Chinese is almost a must for competitive programmes. Like HKU MBBS requires a 3 and LLB requires a 4.
If you get a 2, you need to discount your overall score and eventually be admitted to a less preferable university / programme.

36 + 2 for MBBS is a rare exception. This applicant must have a very impressive ECA / interview performance to get an offer. The school has plenty quality JUPAS and Non JUPAS applicants to choose.
