Really disappointing today. The principal was sitting in front of a classroom, bringing students to the interview rooms. She didn't interview or meet any parents. I asked her a question in English (as this is an English School), but she gave no reaction. Then, she spoke in non-HK Cantonese, saying that she had no time and went to push chairs with the office staff. Amazing! So to find out the English standards, I walked around the campus looking at the students' work. It was very average for a school that is proud of it's English standard. Some work don't seem to have been corrected before being displayed. (New approach?) So, i really don't know if this school is what I want and I didn't get the answer to my question. Current parents, what is the real story there? Has English become less important? My friends told me the ex-principal took English very seriously. Is it still like that? How are the English teachers' English standard? Please let me know. Thanks |
