I have never thought that whether a F.1 boy can go out for lunch would be a consideration for choosing the secondary school. I would find it normal if this topic is in 小一選校.
When I was in secondary school, there was no restriction for going out for lunch from Form 1. Most of the students went out for lunch. We went to the nearby food court, a very small mall, etc. for lunch. That was really a good time to mingle with classmates and breath "fresh air" outside school. Hmm...is it because there are more and more bad guys in town so this has become a big security issue, or children / teenagers have much less discipline than us in the past so that parents have to avoid them leaving the school for lunch?
