Two years ago, I had the same question as your.
I asked my daughter's headmistress for advice.

Advice.1: Copies in Black & White were advised good enough.
Advice.2: She would prefer Black & White to Colour-copied ones.

Further question on Advice.1: Why good enough?
Answer: Useful information can be picked up quickly from Black & White.

Further question on Advice.2: Why not Colour-copied ones ?
Answer: There are hundreds of students' portfolio to be read through for a day or two. Black & White copies help make feeling less tired.

唔止証書，我成份文件都彩色。不過配搭就要小心，簡約為主。

I print it in b/w only. I think it is more environmentally friendly!

我讚成只用黑白，已經足夠。

有少少建議，我會用Excel做一個𣿬總表，刻意將小朋友5-6年的課外活動，成就，貫徹性，及進步等等。

有些做收生的朋友看過後都覺得好正，而且不用張張証書放上去，就算十張八張，學校都對小兒有較清楚的描述，無須將証書縮小到失去意義。

如果鋼琴八級，我只放八級証書。英文試只放最高者，讓老師更易掌握。我發覺部分誤會了多就是好，我會貴精不貴多。

補充一點，Excel 中部分重點我用顏色突出約10點左右。

我之前都已經係咁做,盡量少D CERT, 如: 同類課外活動, 有獎既就唔會放COURSE既CERT, 同科既比賽只揀最高獎項放入去.
