Hi, I would like seek advice from existing CPS and CSS parents or alumni.
Creative Primary School , Yew Chung :
I am deciding whether or not to send my youngest child to CPS or YCIS as an insert student for Year 3. I like the IB system, but would like a school with strong Chinese, preferably Mandarin, and English. Obviously I know ISF, CIS, VSA, CDNIS those elite schools have strong bilingual programs, but my child does not like the traditional school system with tests and exams, hence my child does not have good grades in the report cards to apply to these schools.
I would like to know if there is a gap from CPS to an English Secondary (from a Chinese school to an English school), i.e. the primary is too easy and foundation is not strong enough.
Creative Secondary School, YCIS:
I am deciding to send my middle child to CSS or YCIS. Any comments which school is better?
To share more with you in ESF Private school (IB through train) :
My eldest child attends IB MYP now in ESF. From year 7 to 10, it's very easy, not much homework and everything is done on the laptop, hence often get distracted. School teachers give too much freedom. Need the students to be very self disciplined, which might be difficult when they are in teenage years, especially for boys. My understanding is thay all the boys in the school play online games. That's why I am looking for a more disciplined and more Chinese IB school for my 2nd and 3rd children
Thank you for your sharing in advance.
