3.2.1 Academic Performance

Our F.6 students achieved satisfactory performance in the 2024 HKDSE Examination. Their dedication and perseverance have led to significant achievements. 76% of students (84/111) were given an offer in the 2024 JUPAS.

The percentages of students attaining level 4 or above in the three core subjects are as follows:

English Language 46.4%
Mathematics 65.2%

The students' performance in mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology was outstanding. More than 60% of them achieved level 4 or above.

2024 HKDSE Results
Our S.6 students obtained very good results in HKDSE. For the core subjects (Chinese Language, English Language, Mathematics), the average percentages of level 2 or above
and level 4 or above were 98.3% and 43.1% respectively.

For all subjects, the average percentages of level 2 or above and level 4 or above are 98.4% and 42.4% respectively. Among all subjects, our students performed particularly well in English Language, Mathematics, M1, M2, Physics, Chemistry, Information & Communications Technology, History, Chinese History, Economics, Business, Accounting & Financial Studies with over 40% of them obtaining level 4 or above.

2024 International A-Level (IAL) Results
The first batch of HLC students taking the IAL exams has demonstrated outstanding academic performance. The comparisons presented in the table below highlight the exceptional performance of HLC students, particularly in Mathematics and Physics, where they significantly exceed global averages. This indicates a strong academic foundation and effective teaching methods at HLC. In terms of languages, HLC students have all demonstrated their great ability and reached the requirements of universities. Over 90% of students have achieved 7 or above in IELTS and 100% of students have achieved Grade 9 in Chinese. One HLCian got 4A*. Congratulations!

GCE IAS & IAL 2024

This year 70 of our F5 students and 53 of our F6 students took the GCE IAS and IAL examinations respectively. Out of the 53 F6 students, 15 students obtained 5A* including Chinese, 6 students obtained 4A*, 7 students obtained 3A* in the 2024 IAL / GCE examinations. There were altogether 221 A* – A among 53 students i.e. an average of 4.17 A* – A per student.
