這真是一個謎啊!


現在對我們班waiting嘅家長來說, 只有等啦.

很抱歉，我和個位家長只是一面之緣，留了電話相約去買中學課本，後來佢來電話讀MCS，以後就無聯絡了。

明天是SPCC放榜日子，佢地會收約120人，當中會有一半女生，一定會有部份是DGS己收的學生，而他們當中亦有些會考慮放棄DGS，正如被SPCC收的男生，當DBS取錄他們，一樣會放棄SPCC。

我諗你都會知係邊個，可能這些例子不止一單，但最奇怪的是己到分班試時(即四月中)才定去MCS而放棄DGS呢? 因當初如DGS收你時，己需要放棄升中派位，甚能在四月中才定呢!!!
除非有另一例子，就是去 見MCS時，他們向你暗示他們一定會取錄你，你可以放棄直資學校，但小朋友又甚能明白他們的意思，家長們又甚能相信由小朋友所覆述的說話，而放棄一間千金難救的直資名校呢!
不過學校爭資優的學生而各出其謀是一至公認的。

其實我唔知佢邊方面叻，當日午餐唔係好多時間，因為用膳之後要繼續未完的考試。

不過，我諗你講的鋼琴好出色的學生，今年F1，我囡係F2。

我估 elsa2005 指的那位小朋友早已接受了dgs offer, 放棄中央派位, 也有參加四月的dgs 分班試, 相信她是在七月升中派位放榜個日往mcs 叩門成功, 最後選擇 mcs.

Do you know how many students on the reserve list were admitted finally last year.  I am worried that only a few, say less that five students will be finally give up their places (I understand that there are lots of students on the waiting list).

Is there be any chance that students  on reserve list will be admitted in March/April?  Any real case example?

Can you tell when did you receive the call? This morning or yesterday? Do you need to reply them immediately in the phone or you could reply them later (like 1 day)? Do you know any other girls same case as yours (on waiting list and received call)? Thank you very very much for your information. My daughter is also on waiting list.

I received call on Tuesday night. (Don't understand why
it's so late. )   And they just tell me to go to the school to register yesterday.  They didn't ask me whether to accept or not, or give me one day to think about it.   Maybe I
didn't mention that I need to think about it.   When I go to the school yesterday,  I needed to tell the man at the
entrance my name and the appointed time.  I saw that
there are a few names on his paper.

Yes, she is accepted by DGS and yes we have already registered.

She is on waiting list of SPCC!

有沒有家長知道DGS的收生準則?本人之女兒也是在DGS Reserve List 的名單內, 但是跟一些因後補巳被接立入DGS的家長談話時,發覺她收生的定義非常混亂及沒有標準,跟當初劉校長所講的收生標準(學業成績超卓或校外活動出息)完全不符!則聞在後補收生中的成績只是一般(甚至在interview時, 對數學的題問更一無所知,至於課外活動更是一無所有),所以本人對於這間具歷史悠久的名校嘅收生定義非常confuse 。有沒有家長曾聽聞有以上的例子,可與本人一起分享。

How many girls that you know were accepted from waiting list? (you mentioned a few?) They are classmates of your daughter? That is why you know that they were not as good as your daughters standard regarding academic and ECA area? otherwise how can you compare with them, apple to apple?

Just curious. By no way, no prior judgement made to you or your daughter.
