這就是“五減一”的產物，以前已經多人競爭的自行學位，現在競爭當然更為激烈！
可憐學生及家長門為了入讀名校，不單要設法提高學科成績，還要在才藝方面及各項校內校外比賽取得獎項......
因此，如何“自我減壓”已經成為升中學生家長們面對的首要問題了

08年我仔有兩個同學入左去(他區), 一個考全級第三, 一個考第十, 兩個都冇乜獎項, 操行ok, 服務(學校)有d.
而家變到咁高要求.........

校長話呢d分數只係最高分個過同學，唔係個個都係。如果比呢樣野嚇親唔敢報，夠膽個d咪易好多!有時計算得太盡反而會損失機會，我想舊年有唔少人好似你咁諗，所以有成20多人後補中。如果真係鍾意，幾大都要博下，就算正選入唔到，後備都有希望。

Over 100 may not a big problem if you consider the student good at swimming, 50m, 100m free style, mixed relay, 200m relay are gold medals, within school, Eastern District and HK, 4*5*3 = 60, for 2 years, 120 is possible.

My son's junior in the graduation ceremony, we can see more than 20 medals and 4 cups just one years.

I am glad to know you still remember my son.

He is doing very good in a DSS school and in Grade 10 (F4) - Pre-IB program. He struggled a bit in the school for the 1st year and start enjoy the liberal study life of the sceondary school and have more friends from various backgrounds.

My son's classmates from NPMPS are also doing very well in their secondary schools including 12 in CCSC. My son is the only student in the DSS school from his primary school and no senior in the said school. His classmates in CCSC and BPS etc, very easy to settle with the support from seniors.

NPMPS is a low profile Christian school, P1-P3 are activity-based learning and more focus on academic results since P4. their ECAs are not in flying colors, even some students are very good in ECA are relied on the student's family or has good coach or trainer outside the school. Their allocation results in secondary school are excellent, over 60% EMI schools, only behind Kei Wan in Eastern District.

The caring and loving environment shape the kids with relatively high self-esteem and EQ. My son was very very low EQ, after 6 years of coaching and caring from teachers and principal, he improved a lot and successfully settle in more demanding school (of course, parents also need to work together with the school).

I am not 100% sure, NPMPS may be the only school in Eastern has tailor-made program 創思小組 to train gifted kids. They used the term high learning ability students, from P3 upto P6. The program focuses on creativity and thinking skills, social skills and affection skills.
